We’re proud to announce that we have changed our name to Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County. For over 60 years we have had the privilege of promoting and providing mental health support to the members of our community and are very excited to continue to do so for the next 60 years and beyond. We feel that this name change allows us to leverage both our national affiliations and the tremendous advances in technology and research. It further represents our strong commitment to promoting wellness in our community. MHA has been providing services since 1942, and was incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency in 1958.
We recognize that mental health issues do not discriminate and could affect us and our loved ones at any time. Each of us is challenged daily as we strive for balance in our lives and look for ways to cope successfully. We all benefit from a happier and healthier community; and it is your support that enables us to improve the emotional well-being and health of the people you know throughout Tarrant County.
