Suicide Awareness Coalition

Suicide Awareness Coalition

The Suicide Awareness Coalition (formerly the Suicide Prevention Coalition) emphasizes primary awareness by helping reduce the factors that put people at risk and by preventing suicide before it occurs. The coalition is organized by MHA and is co-facilitated by professionals from MHA, MHMR, UTA, and private practitioners. We are also proud to have students, professors, and suicide survivors on our team. It provides an avenue to engage the community to address the issue of suicide. Caring and compassion are core values of the team and it is our aim to uphold and adhere to these values.

The mission of the Suicide Awareness Coalition of Tarrant County is to lead our community in suicide, outreach, education, and prevention.

The goals are to decrease suicide in the community by implementing the following:  suicide outreach, education and prevention.
